Marie Sowers, 28, lives in Lancaster in her own apartment with a roommate who is another Blue Shoe artist. Marie has been drawing and painting for several years, but has really started to polish her techniques since working in the Blue Shoe Arts studio.She works on her original art on Mondays and Tuesdays, and on Wednesdays, she creates wonderful jewelry called Recyclabits. These are necklaces made from all recycled/reused materials, including telephone wire, buttons, and beads. A special type of necklace is called an uncorked kid which has, as its framework, the wire cage used to hold the cork in a Champagne bottle!!
