As a parent of an adult son who has developmental disabilities, I understand first-hand some of the challenging issues faced by the more than 80,000 Ohioans with developmental disabilities and their families, and bring with me to this position more than 30 years of experience in working on behalf of people in the disability community. *Our agency’s name was formerly the Ohio Department of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities, prior to October 2009.
