It is a pleasure to welcome you to the DODD Futures Website. From this page you can navigate to learn the history of the DODD Futures Committee and catch up on news from the Futures Implementation Process. Within the links on this page, there are numerous resources, including the minutes from each DODD Futures Committee meeting, as well as the full version of the final Futures Report and subcommittee recommendations. There are lots of links on this page to take you where you want to go!
The DODD Futures Committee was created by Governor Ted Strickland, members of the Ohio General Assembly and the DODD community. Among other tasks, it was charged to review the effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability of current uses of funding for the state's mental retardation and developmental disabilities system.
On March 28, 2008 a final report was delivered to Governor Strickland and the General Assembly. This report set forth positive steps to improve services, processes, and supports for individuals and families. I encourage you to take some time to look over the exciting things happening with the Futures Implementation Process and invite you to come back often, as we will continue to update this page with the latest information regarding the Futures Implementation Process.

Futures Implementation Process - Phase One Deliverables
The Futures implementation process took a step forward on August 6, 2008, with the release of the first group of 'deliverables' (products) related to the 31 recommendations of the Futures Committee. DODD shared the work completed in Phase One, which included 17 deliverables. To view the deliverables, click below.

These deliverables were presented as drafts for the field to review and provide feedback. Nearly 50 people and organizations throughout Ohio provided feedback during the comment period, which ended in late 2008. Below is the feedback provided to DODD on the Phase One Deliverables.
