Re:          Martin Settlement – Capital Funding

Date:       September 6, 2007

Dear Colleague –

It is my pleasure to inform you of the upcoming availability of state capital funds to provide community-based housing options for individuals receiving services funded through the Martin Settlement. We expect the Controlling Board to release the money at their September 10, 2007 meeting and anticipate that funding will be available sometime after September 20, 2007. Funding conditions related to this initiative have been greatly liberalized to encourage a broad base of statewide participation.

Letters of Intent for these projects will be accepted beginning September 20, 2007.

Attached you will find the following information:

I encourage your early application for these funds. I also anticipate the initiation of many creative approaches to expand the housing options available to individuals involved in the Martin Settlement.

Thank you.
